EISight is a customized Employee-Inventory System developed for Philippine Science High Schools.
Motivation of the Project
When we were creating the ID System for the school, we gathered feedback on how it could be improved. In one of these sessions, I was approached by one of the teachers if I could create a similar system that uses QR Codes to track the inventory system of the school. Naturally, as someone who wants to try and solve a wide array of problems, I agreed and worked on it on my free time parallel to the ID System (which at this stage, only school adaption is needed, no more coding). It was the first of many things - AnyDesk (to control the Ubuntu Server I was lent), Docker (to actually make it work not just 'on my machine'), and a whole lot of DevOps. It was the first time I really really felt the 'systems' part of the software engineering role.
