Attendance tracker for bus riders using the QR codes in the students' identification cards.
Motivation of the Project
This was the submission of our group, named De Novo, for our Technology subject. We noticed inconsistent attendance monitoring in the students' bus in a way that there are manual tracking issues that caused some students to be left behind because the driver thought everyone was already present. Another thing is that when this project was implemented, the QR codes in our IDs are, technically, idle as they have no other use. So, we tried utilizing this QR feature. There are several ways this system could be improved. One is by adding more analysis on student behaviors and implementing valid corresponding actions. For example, consistently late bus riders could be subject to intervention, like transferring them to a different bus or calling the attention on their behavior.
